Preparation for the procedure
Preparation for the electrocardiography procedure includes several important steps:
- Remove all metal jewelry and accessories before the procedure.
- Make sure that the area on the chest, arms, and legs where the electrodes will be placed is clean and dry.
- Tell your doctor about any medications you are taking, as some may affect your ECG results.
- Wear clothing that is easy to remove or lift to allow access to your chest.
- Try to relax and stay calm during the procedure for the most accurate results.
- Avoid strenuous physical activity immediately before the procedure.

The process of conducting an ECG
The electrocardiogram procedure begins with preparation. The patient will be asked to lie down on a couch. Electrodes are glued to the chest, arms, and legs.
After connecting all the electrodes to the ECG machine, the doctor or nurse starts the recording, which lasts a few minutes.
Once the recording is complete, the electrodes are removed, and the patient can immediately get dressed and leave the medical facility.
Contraindications
- Severe skin diseases or wounds where the electrodes are applied.
- The patient has severe conditions requiring continuous medical supervision.

Safety of the procedure
